Terms & Conditions of Booking

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they incorporate the basis upon which reservations are accepted by the Quays Hotel. Making a reservation automatically accepts all the terms and conditions outlined here under.

Reservation, Amendment and Cancellation Policy

All reservations are subject to availability. Reservations made on the Quays Hotel website are considered conditional until a confirmation is given to you to substantiate the reservation by email. The Quays Hotel may, from time to time, communicate with you, to re-confirm the reservation and to prevent any simulated bookings.

The Quays Hotel is not responsible for communication failures, errors, difficulties, or other malfunctions or lost, stolen, or misdirected transactions, transmissions, messages, or entries on or in connection with the websites.

Quays Hotel is not responsible for any incorrect information associated with any transaction or transmission on or to the websites regardless of whether such incident is the result of error, system error, or human error.

Quays Hotel reserves the right to impose a cancellation fee. For any booking that requires payment on check in to the hotel, bookings must be cancelled 24 hour prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations after this time or no-show are subject to a cancellation fee which will be charged to the credit card used to guarantee payment of your account. The cancellation fee is equal to the accommodation fee payable for 1 night of stay. A no-show is when you do not check in on the night of your booking reservation.

Should you wish to amend any reservations, modifications may be made on the Quays Hotel website at the earliest convenience. Quays Hotel will not be liable should it fail to provide its products and services due to unavailability.

In the event that the Quays Hotel, for reasons beyond its control, need to reject or change a confirmed reservation it will use all reasonable attempt to facilitate the circumstances however if no alternative is provided to you, Quays Hotel will return any deposit made and consider it cancelled. This is the limit of the hotels liability.

Quays Hotel does not guarantee acknowledgement of reservations made on the Quays Hotels website arising from unforeseen circumstances, omissions or errors that may sometimes occur.

Minimum Length of Stay

A minimum length of stay may apply during high demand or special event periods, as determined by the Quays Hotel. If you reserve a room over such dates (as per the reservation terms and conditions) you agree to stay for the required minimum nights.

Group Reservations

Right To Refuse Entry

The Quays Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to the hotel or accommodation of return guests who have caused damage or disruption to the hotel and its guests on a previous stay and/or guests who have been evicted from other accommodation providers for same reasons or criminal behavior

Check In

The standard check in time is 02:00pm.

A valid form of government issued photographic identification and a current credit card are required to be presented to Quays Hotel on check in. This ID may be copied and securely stored as a record that we have verified who you are and your authority to use the credit card supplied as a combat to increasing credit card fraud. If you are unable to provide such identification, your reservation may be cancelled and you may be liable to pay us an amount equal to the full reservation plus any other additional costs incurred by us in connection with your reservation.

You must advise us of any change in the number of persons using the room and agree to pay any additional charges for additional persons not included in the number stated at the time of registration.

Check Out

The standard check out time is 10:00am. Departure after that time may incur an additional room charge.

You are and remain personally liable to pay the total amount due on departure unless prior settlement arrangements have been accepted by us. If the settlement arrangements have not been met within 30 days of departure you agree to pay the total amount due on the receipt of our invoice.

You must return the key and/or security card for the room at the time of your departure and agree to pay a charge for replacement of keys you may lose or fail to return same.

Minors

Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Right of Entry and Inspection

Quays Hotel management reserves the right to inspect guest rooms at any time without notice should the managements opinion be that there has been or is likely to be a breach of any terms and conditions or there is a legitimate concern for a guests safety.

Facilities and Services

Whilst care is taken to ensure that the description of our facilities and services is accurate, these are continually being changed and upgraded, and whilst on occasion may be out of service. If any feature or facility is essential to you in choosing our property, it is your responsibility to confirm with the property prior to making your reservation that the feature or facility will be available during your stay or use of the services.

To the extent permitted by law, The Quays Hotel is not liable for omissions, errors or changes to the facilities and services at our property, whether temporary or permanent.

Accommodation facilities listed may not apply to all room types.

Non Serviced Packages

A non-serviced package means that your room will not be serviced by housekeeping or your beds made until you check out. All amenities will be provided at the start of your stay but will not be replenished until you check out. Additional room amenities can be purchased from reception. Room services can be arranged for a small fee, for example, additional towels or your room to be serviced during your stay – please contact Reception who will gladly assist.

House Rules

  1. Guests and invitees of guests are expected to behave in a manner that is conductive to the safety, comfort and convenience of other guests within our property.
  2. A breach of any House Rule may result in the summary eviction of the offender and or/group booking at the discretion of management. No refunds on accommodation will be offered under these circumstances.
  3. A breach of House Rules include:
    • Noisy, offensive or unruly behaviour;
    • Damage to or destruction of property;
    • Improper or unseemly conduct;
    • Any act or omission which, in the opinion of management, adversely affects or brings discredit upon the management, owner or other guests;
  4. In the event of an eviction, all monies owing or held will be forfeited.

No Smoking Policy

The Quays Hotel is a strictly non-smoking venue. Guests are only permitted to smoke in the designated areas. In the event that guests are found to have been smoking in guest rooms a cleaning and deodorizing fee of $250.00 will apply.

No Pet Policy

The Quays Hotel does not permit pets. If a pet, or evidence that a pet has resided in the guest’s room is found it will be deemed a breach of your accommodation conditions. You will be requested to remove the animal and charged a $250.00 cleaning and deodorising fee. Please advise the hotel ahead of time if travelling with a guide dog.

Zero Tolerance Party Policy

In the interest of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the hotel, a no party policy applies to all guests staying at the property. Guests are expected to be respectful of other guests at all times, and to be quiet between 10pm – 7am. No group congregations in individual guest rooms is permitted or tolerated. Immediate eviction with no refund applies to any breaches of this policy.

Eviction

The Quays Hotel may evict a guest or visitors without warning. Guests who are evicted from the hotel will be blacklisted and we may chose to notify the police. A guest is subject to such eviction should the following (but not limited to) occur;

  • Intoxication and unsavoury behaviour
  • Overcrowding – when the number of persons in the room exceeds the agreed number
  • Physical or verbal assault towards hotel representatives or other guests
  • Wilful damage to the Quays Hotel property
  • Any incident for which the police need to be called onto the premises
  • Any behaviour posing a safety threat to others
  • Ignoring advice to reduce excessive noise (music or other noise)
  • Smoking within the room (a cleaning and deodorising fee will also apply)

If the occupancy ends or is terminated, the guest must immediately vacate the premises. In the event of an eviction, all monies owing or held will be forfeited. Guests who are evicted from the hotel will be blacklisted.

Third Party Products and Services

The Quays Hotel sometimes includes third party products or services in special packages and the Quays Hotel is not liable under any circumstances for any failure by third party providers to provide products or services, nor for any error, alteration or change of any kind made by those third party providers following acceptance of a booking by them.

All third party coupons, vouchers, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by those parties.

The Quays Hotel does not warrant the accuracy of any information; statements or representations made by third parties and is not liable for any act or omission, default or negligence of any third party provider.

Releases and Indemnity

Any monies or other valuables, goods or vehicles that belong to you, brought in or on to the room, grounds or car park remain your responsibility and we are not responsible for their safekeeping.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless the Quays Hotel and its current and former owner(s), employees and agents against and from all expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgements and losses of any kind whatsoever (including consequential and economic losses, property loss/damage and damage for injury, including personal injury and death) arising out of, caused by, attributable to or resulting from your reservation or your stay at the Quays Hotel for any reason whatsoever.

You agree to indemnify the Quays Hotel and its current and former owner(s), employees and agents for all expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgements and losses of any kind whatsoever (including consequential and economic losses, property loss/damage and damage for injury, including personal injury and death) incurred or suffered by the Quays Hotel or its current or former employees or agents arising out of, caused by, attributable to or resulting from your reservation or your stay at the Quays Hotel except to the except caused by or contributed to by the Quays Hotel and its current or former employees or agents negligence.

You agree regardless of your length of stay there is no tenancy or other proprietary rights created under any laws

We grant you a licence to stay in and/or use the facilities in our hotel and we reserve the right to terminate the licence at any time.

Use of Information

You agree we may use your email address to send you information.

General

These terms and conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the state of New South Wales, Australia.

Nothing in these terms and conditions affect any rights you may have and by which laws of the State of New South Wales cannot be excluded, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and under State and Territory consumer protection legislation.

We adhere to the National Privacy Principle relating to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
